Why is one chicken outside the coop at night?

We’re completely new to chicken raising but tonight I heard a ruckus and saw that one of the hens is out of the coop walking around the chicken run. There’s a street light above them that I think should be enough light to see. Should I do something?

That street light might be the problem for her. You might have to put a small light inside the coop so she'll go in.
Ok. Thanks! After wandering around the run for a while, she eventually walked right into the coop like she knew right where she was going. Lol! These chickens are giving me gray hairs!

She certainly didn't want to be separated from the rest. So going in was her only choice.

You are closing them in at night, aren't you?

Why is one chicken outside the coop at night? DUH! To get to the otherside of the street. (Ba Dum Tss)

Yeah I'd Put a light inside the coop. If you can get WiFi at the coop, a light like this will let you (using alexa) turn it on a half hour before sunset and turn it off after dark.
