My husband loves roasted and salted sunflower seeds. Is it ok that the chickens eat them? I know that regular sunflower seeds are ok but I wasn't sure if the salt wasn't good for them. I wouldn't buy it for them but he dropped half of a giant bag on the ground and thought instead of throwing them away I could give them to the chooks.

If they will eat them, go for it! They eat sodium in the food scraps we give them anyway and one time won't hurt at all. Animals need a certain amount of salt...ask anyone who has to buy salt licks for their livestock. I wouldn't worry too much about it!

I agree. As long as it's just a treat and not a staple of their diet, they'll be fine.
