OK, so there was a swap off going there. Five for the one. Not bad that you let five go. Probably a good thing because you were getting a bit over balanced with the roo to female ratio. For most birds it should be ten females to one male.

Yeah that’s kinda how it went, I knew I couldn’t keep them all so iv only kept my big Brahma I couldn’t let him go, I really struggled to let my black Araucana ricky go but I can get him back for breeding if I want .
We're back to the Brahman thing again, you have a male but you got the female for a different breed rooster?

Yeah so she was as bought just as a companion as she’s his sister I can’t use them for breeding so I’ll cross the Brahma hen with my black aracuana
OK, I thought you didn't get the rooster because they were related. Not that you had him but couldn't use him.

This whole screen conversation can get confusing when we can't correct each other in real time.

So, Liam is having a baby Lily. That will be easy to remember with the L's.

You really have it bad. I'd tell you to get an incubator but that would make things so much worse.

Haha yeah hopefully my wife’s called Lynn too so yup all the Ls 😂 I haven’t acquired anymore birds since the last time we spoke but I do now have an American xl bully puppy we only got her two days ago. If you have Facebook would Mabey be easier chatting their or WhatsApp 07999431367
I don't have either one. I hate FB. WhatsApp I've never bothered with.

LOL I can see it now, when Lynn is aggravated with one of the L's she's going to go through everyone's name before she hits on the one she wants.

Ahh no worries.

quick question, my silkie hen started laying again and iv had an egg from her the last five days, iv read they lay 2-3 a week. Is it normal for them to lay more after starting again? If so will it slow down again?

here’s a good pic I got of my Brahma rooster

Handsome bird!
Amazing pic. Great timing on that one.

Silkies lay everyday when they're not broody. That business about laying three or four times a week is an average when you figure out how much time they spend being broody.
