I don't even know how easy that frizzle look crosses over. I do know that frizzle to frizzle is bad. I think it kills peeps.

Do you ever have days when it just rains? I'm raining here today. The dogs are bored and just like little kids they're bugging me. The guineas are unhappy and hanging out under my truck. I don't know why they're under my truck, they have a big ol' pen to hang out in and stay dry. But no, they're under my truck complaining about the rain.
I’m not to sure either but their isn’t any other frizzle so that’s not too bad, we’ve had another really nice day here sunny and dry for once. Yeah In Scotland it rains a lot so I’m used to it bye now we get four seasons in one day sometimes, sun, snow, rain and wind within an hour of each other but it keeps the place looking lush so it’s all good
What do the birds do when it rains?

You'll have to watch out for the Silkie, when they get wet they can't see to seek shelter.

They usually sit under the bench or other coups up the top of the garden, if I’m honest they run around a lot in the rain propper soaked somtimes even though they have plenty space to avoid it lol, I’ll keep an eye on her but she usually darts back to her little pink house as soon as rain starts. I was fishing today and made some new feathered friends, it’s like I have a magnet on me designed for chickens haha

You don't do bad at that fishing thing. Or attracting chickens. That's a hoot.

I'm glad she knows to scoot under cover when the rain starts. Some get caught to far out and the feathers on their heads gets wet and covers their eyes. So, their only option is to hunker in place,

Thanks it’s been a good start to the season that was my pb brown trout just over 10lbs.

yeah with the size of garden I have she doesn’t have to far to run to cover so that’s a good thing. It’s a rain day here as you can see not a bird out of cover you’d think I didn’t have any lol

Not a bird in sight. That is a hoot. Most don't care for getting wet although they do like a warm bath and a blow dryer.

The mountains are almost invisible now. Yep, that's a grey day for sure.
Your Guineas make me smile. It's supposed to be dry here today, I've got to contact my insurance agency about some of the storm damage from last week.

Nothing stopping you from having some of your own. Except time and energy.

How much damage did you have? You only mentioned the power outage and the milk barn across the road,

We had electric horse fence down, a couple trees and the south side of the farm shop is missing some roofing, gutter, soffit, and flashing. Luckily no trees hit anything this time. I've been cleaning up for a week.

Won't the insurance pay you for the clean up or bring people in to do it?

She's stunning. But guy, you've got to stop this. And if she's for a particular male how are you going to isolate them?

I’m going to move all my Roos until it’s just the black aracuana and the Brahma then put the black aracuana in with the Brahma hen so he can do the deed, apart from that they can go nuts and give me awesome mixes, the Brahma roo and hen are from the same hatch I get my brahmas from a small local breeder he has really nice stock and doesn’t advertise or anything so not a lot of peeps have his genetics

Better pic this one, their was a few to pick from but knew instantly I wanted her, even overruled my 8 year old nephew who wanted to pick another one haha

Wait a minute, you've confused me. I thought you got her for a brahma roo.

Do you realize how out of control you are? Has your wife said that to you yet? You had 3 chickens in Jan. Now you've got way more than you should have.

I thought the breeder had hens around the same age that weren’t related, he did but they were only a few weeks old so I’ll go get one of them in a few weeks.

I know but they’re all happy hens and being with me is better than what the alternative would have been for around half of them. Yes she’s told me I’m out of control and I know this too but I’ll never take on more animals than I can look after or have space for.
We're confusing each other now. I thought you had a Brahma roo to put your new Brahma girl with.

Are you sure though that you can quit? You will hit a max and it can get ugly when you do. I get how much you enjoy them, most everyone else who has them finds them just as addictive. There may come a point when they will need to be treated for common poultry problems, like mites. That one could be real riot for you since you don't have them confined anywhere.

No I did but thier related so can’t use them for breeding I just got her to keep him company lol it was my wife says if I was aloud anything els it would have to be a Brahma to keep baby dino the roo company, so I jumped at the chance and got her. She’s the white one next to the black rooster and the roo is in the other pick on the right

I’m happy with my numbers for now, especially with them being able to reproduce to give me new birds, I have stuff here that I use to try prevent mites and stuff with them being a bit wilder than usual

Sorry to say, that stuff is just a waste of money. I've dug and dug on very similar products. No where have I found scientific evidence that it does what they claim. As for external mites, sand does the same thing for a lot less money but there are times chemicals will be needed. The same is true for internal parasites.

OK, now your wife has a problem or did she really give you the go ahead to get another bird?

Yeah just for that one though lol, I got rid of five of my roosters to my friends farm so got some room freed up for the rest of them, it’ll be that way for a while now with the chicks coming up and potentially another three on the way if bluebells three hatch 🐣
