Just had a Pekin duck hatch early in the incubator. I believe it has splayed leg . Walks ok but when it stops her legs do the splits. What can I do? She hatched last night.
Thank you

If its splayed you can bring the legs back together with a pipecleaner, bandaid, ect. Here is a pic for reference ( Not my pic found on google). It may need to stay on for a good week. It will struggle to move at first so you'll have to help it eat and drink until it gets the hang of it. Also extra niacin wouldnt hurt, I use liquid Vitamin B, 1/4 dropped per day for a few days.

Thank you Apyl! I cut little pieces off of one of my sons nerf bullets and put one on each leg . Then connected a bandaid from one to the other. She did not like it at first! I noticed that she did get the hang of moving with it thou!
Again thank you! She/he is a cutie!

Just wanted to update you on the ducky! We named it Klutzy! Took braces off and you wouldn't even know there was a problem!
Very spoiled! Loves to cuddle! They grow so fast though.
