We had a great hatch of Speckled Sussex chicks this spring. The eggs were provided by friends who have been breeding "Sussies" for many years. We want to start our own breeding program, so we'd like to keep our pullets and sell or trade the young cockerels for fresh bloodlines. Our young "Sussies" are thriving on fresh-ground organic, non-GMO grain. They have never been fed commercial feed. They have been fed fresh greens daily, harvested from our own property where we use no herbicides or pesticides. Now that they are big enough, they love to free range. Hatched on March 10, two are definitely showing their male gender. They are docile, as you can see this boy is sitting calmly on my knee while posing for a photo. Asking $15 each, or an even trade for one or two of your young males.
