There's a breeder that raises silkie ducks near me but she doesn't have anything available currently and won't answer my questions about them:
- can any duck breed be silkied like chickens?
- if its not any breed are they the size of call ducks?

I have heard of Silkie Ducks but have never seen them. I think they are small like call ducks. If you get one please post a picture!

If she won't answer your questions then I would not trust her nor purchase ducks from her. A true responsible breeder will be glad to answer any questions about the breed they have worked hard to breed to standards.

Silky ducks get to be about 30 to 38 ounces (they are a bantam breed). They have soft lacy feathers similar to the silky dove. The link above has come pics and is a reputable source to purchase stock.

If you type "silky ducks" into google a TON of info comes up.
