I have 12 hens and had 2 Roos up until this morning. I was outside and heard a ruckus. It was the one Roo attacking the other. Up until now they have been best friends and inseparable. I stepped in and stopped the attack. He seemed like he was going to kill the other. I think he is the same Roo that attacked my other hen a couple of weeks ago. I called a friend that also has 12 hens but no Roo. He now has a new Roo! And I have one oft. I kept the docile one

You're probably correct, but in this day and age, you need to make as many friends as possible and my neighbor up the road needed a Roo, so he is happy now. Worth the investment in case $hit happens

P.S. My Father advised me about 50 years ago....that even Nature itself is out to get you. He said that MY JOB was to delay that as long as possible. REALITY.
