Red in the yolk

    Morning all, we cracked a brown egg this morning and there was a red dot, and a red string like streak in the yolk? Are these safe to eat? Old wives tale here in AL is if there is any red, you don't eat. Any guidance on this?

    That's pretty normal esp in New layers and when there's a too in the picture. I've used them when it's only a speck, but not when there's a lot, mainly because it's disgusting and I have plenty of other eggs. My occ bloody goes to my muts.
