I am surprised they aren't crowing yet. Mine started around 3-4 months old. I am not supposed to have mine either where I live but no one has complained so I just play dumb if someone asks about the noise (knock on wood, don't want to jinx my situation). I really don't think they can pinpoint which house the noise is coming from and my next door neighbor is easily bribed with eggs. haha...Just an idea also, I also keep mine in the coop until an acceptable hour after many have gone to work. Maybe you can keep them?

I know how that goes, had to do the same thing this fall. 2 of my pullets ended up being little cockerels. We aren't allowed to have them either. Bummer!
