I recently added a rooster to my flock.... the egg production has slowed way down ever since, I read that a rooster stresses the hens out, therefore slowing egg production down. Knowing this, is there any way to overcome this besides getting rid of the rooster?

By adding a stranger to the flock, a rooster yet, you’ve changed the social order. Now everyone has to redefine themselves. In the meantime, egg production will suffer.

How long should this take? I've had the rooster for at least a month now....

It's hard to tell. Probably depends somewhat on exactly how much disruption has been caused. If this is the first rooster they have known, his 'activities' may be causing problems.

Of course, it could also be something unrelated to all this.

Best thing is to make sure they have feed and water and just let everything work itself out. When they start laying eggs again you'll know everything is OK.
