Some of it reminds me of mites.

I think I would bathe him in baby shampoo or Tail and Mane, or is Mane and Tail, horse shampoo to see what he looks like afterwards.

That might play right into what Ken asked.
I live in New York, so not really in the winter.. I have given him dust bath in wood ash and diatomaceous soil,. I have even brushed him then given him the dust bath.

I will try a brushing, the shampoo... Then the dust bath..
He doesn't like to spend time in the house but, with the weather we have no choice..,..... Ty

Lol, they do ..and he is a diva ! Blow drying will cut the time, but I will give him the full treatment in 1 day ....
A friend of mine sent me an article that their are 2typs of mites. Sevin is recommended for both types. I don't know how I'm going to do the coop in this weather ! Low 30's and snowing... Ty for the help

Some of the pictures look more like dry skin to me. With lice you rather see the eggs around the shaft. I wonder if it can be fungal/mold/yeast if not parasites. What do you feed? Are there any other symptoms?
