My husband makes chicken coops and bat houses - Florida

:) Hi my husband makes chicken coops, 4' 6' and 8' long as well as chicken runs to fit. We don't ship because they are heavy, but if you live in Florida we have people come as far as 300+ miles one way to pick one up. I know right!!

Each coop is a custom order and made to all the extras you can add. They take up to 14 days to complete depending on what you add on. Please feel free to check us out of you need one.

Do you have any pics of the 4'? I was hoping that would be enough space. I would like more info if you have it.
Good on you all ! I love to see the entrepreneurial spirit at work, particularly in these tough times! I would much prefer to patronize "the little guy" rather than the megacorps. JA
Do you have any photos you can show us?
Here is our Fun Chicken Facebook page. We share pictures and chicken related info from all over so we can all learn together. We even have a contest once in a while. Why not stop by :D http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sunny-Side-Up-Coops/234738163293821
You might be glad you did.

I like your website ! Your husband does very good work! Say, I don't know about everyone else here in Florida, but up here in Marion county, we are being eaten ALIVE by swarms of mosquitoes.
We used to have little bats, not many, but several. I was looking at your bat houses. Bats eat mosquitoes, don't they? If I were to buy bat boxes, how would I attract bats to them? I would LOVE to have a bat colony...and fewer mosquitoes! Best regards, JA
Yes :) Bats eat mosquitoes and flies and a variety of other flying insects.
Here is a wonderful link that provides lots of information about Florida Bats. I hope that this helps. http://www.felid.org/activities/page_34.htm

Bat Houses

We do not use bat "BAIT" we are not even aware if there is such a thing, but who knows new discoveries are made everyday. However at this point to the best of our knowledge we are not aware of "bat bait". If you know of "bat bait" and can provide a link towards learning about this information please share. As we would like to research it further.

(liability disclosure)
Although we can not guarantee that you will get bats due to conditions at each location can be different,
we do include Instructions for our bat houses for the best success.
We recommend that people attract bats "The Old Fashioned Way".
It normally takes from 2 weeks to 1 year for bats to be attracted to your new bat house..

I love the bat house. It's too cute. The chicken coops you make look great.
Thank you.
We also make special coops for silkie's. We call them a love nest. they are low to the ground so the silkie does not have to climb a ramp higher than a few inches. It has a heart shaped window, nesting box, a separate door for the nesting box, a large attached run with tall door for people to easily access the chickens.
I couldn't remember how to attach a picture so here is a link to see it. http://www.sunnysideupcoops.com/Love-Nests.html

xxxxx Hugs!!

I just ordered some and we will be adding it to our bat houses upon request at no additional charge..

Well, Bad luck struck. I was going to order a large bat house this week when the transmission didn't work on our SUV. Dropped around $ 600.00 for that( most of it was labour!) Then something happened to our well and we had to replace ...(I think it is a pressure tank?) and a blue tank on the side. That was a tad over $800.00.
I'm still going to get a big bat house, but after I pay for these set backs. That's awesome they make a bat attractant! I hear the bats flitting about every so often at night, emitting a chirp. Good to know they are still there! JA
