I have a heat lamp in my chicken house. It fell at some point so when I came home and let my chickens out it was on the ground. I smelled burning so I quickly turned it off and searched for any flames. Nothing. I went around checking my chickens and noticed the smell was coming from ChKania. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry 😭😂

That's why we frown on using those heat lamps. That happens far more often than you realize. I knew one woman who's coop was set on fire.

Yeah, currently it's clamped onto a piece of wood I screwed to the wall. I'm gonna put a screw in the middle of that piece of wood so that I can hook the top part of the clamp on it. I think that'll keep it from moving.

because it's been getting -10 F or lower every night and everyone is still adjusting. Two weeks ago the lowest it got was 20 F and its only gonna get colder from here
