    Thank you Jen3910 what a great idea my chickens were so nice and toasty they didn't even want to come out this morning. I'm only using a 60 W bulb but they were 35 while the rest of the world is at 25 degrees. Proof 35° is the correct temperature for chicken... Mine anyway! I did cinch the cord up after pictures.

    Total cost from Walmart $15.50 it's just one bottle lamp kit one 10 inch pot and one piece of concrete and a lightbulb.

    Yay! I'm glad it worked for you. This am my girls were at 18 but it sure beats the 4 degrees that is outside!

    I am in northern Illinois. I read this am that my hometown in northern nh was -24. Not including windchill. Brrrrrrr.
