My isa browns are 3 years old and their laying has slowed tremendously. They are laying soft eggs despite calcium supplements and, from what I have read, this is common for the breed. Many isa birds die from eggs breaking inside them around the three year point as well its my understanding.
They lay lovely eggs though I do find neat spots in their eggs more than any of my other girls. They are not broody, though I did find one set on a secret stash of 25 eggs, but once I took her off she lost interest. I like them and their personality and would own them again.
