I have a hen who has gone broody but we don't have a rooster so it's pointless.

She will not leave the nest much and is very aggressive if you try to take the eggs under her.

Any good gentle ways to change her mind?

If its early, you could wait until she's off and try to collect the eggs. I can get all of my hens off the nest with cracked corn. I you do this a couple times, she will probably give up. Plus, you might still be able to use the eggs!

order some eggs for her at once
she will be glad to hatch them out for you
a broody is not a bad thing
mine hatched out 8 babies in below zero weather
all are doing fine & are now in the larger broody box
the nest box was getting a little small
