Hi there! My names Kristen from NE Texas. I just purchased my first round of chickens!
One Rhode Island Red, 6 Easter egger hens, one Easter egger that might be a rooster, and a frizzle that isn't sexed yet.

I've never owned chickens but with the way the world is right now, I've been trying to educate myself on how to be more self sufficient. We have 4 breeding TAMUK composite rabbits right now as well. Would love to eventually raise turkeys and meat hens. Learning to garden too.

Glad to find a forum to lessen my anxiety of raising these cute birds!

Oh no, don't get us wrong. We'll try to lower anxiety but some form of anxiety with these guys is pretty normal. So is laughing at some of their antics. Worrying when one is feeling poorly. Somehow they become foster kids that somehow take up so much time because we've pulled up a comfy chair and are just watching them.
