    Hi im kinda new to having chickens i guess ive had them for about a year although my grandma has always had chickens (i was always afraid of them). Then one day i decided i wanted some i bought some from buchheits and my obsession just grew from their i now have 4 silkie bantams 4 barred rocks 2 red sexlinks and a black chicken tht kinda has a green tint to it that i have no idea what she is..

    Hi Danielle. Welcome to the forum. :) Maybe your black chicken is an australorp? I have one and she has the beautiful irridescent green/purple feathers that shines in the right light. (She also a spoiled rotten little snob.) ;)

    7Chicks I think she is an Australorp because she has black legs and the green looking feathers in the light. She is a snob lol but i love her anyway...!
