My hen is new at this and had only laid twice. Always away from hen house. Today, I have been watching like a hawk and chased her back in coop a lot. She is bottom of pecking order and another hen is laying right now. I have youngest locked in run. Is this right to do?

Keep them penned up until they lay several eggs in the coop. Once they learn that they should return on their own to lay in the coop.

i give everyone food water & a box fan
then i lock em all in.
i start by locking em in for 2 days
if that doesn't fix the problem then i go 4 more days
