I just bought my first set of 6 girls to grow and care for. I live in central Wisconsin, and welcome suggestions and information on how to keep my girls happy, healthy, and have great tasting eggs.

The chicks have grown quite a bit in the week and a half since I've gotten them. They have moved out of the bucket (I did end up getting a smaller feeder and water-er the same day as this pic was taken. My husband bought me a coop and set that up in the house. Now I'm working on the roosting bars at night, and the lower level during the day. All such happy girls. Will keep the pics coming.

7chicks, I grew up in Upper Michigan! Where are you? I grew up on Bessemer. :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Having a great time reading all I can about what to do about any situation. Going to be fun when I figure out what breeds I have. I bought 'pullets' from Tractor Supply Co. What stuff I've read about that!
