Greetings from Oregon

Hey all, im fairly new to chickens and farm life.. going on 2 years now... was given 15 hens and a rooster when a friend moved away.. gained another 2 hens, and another rooster.. totally calmed rooster 1 down.. he like to attack us.. ha.. bought 4 baby barred rockers, and one hen hatched out 8.. lost all but 1 to something in the nights. anyway... i have 2 kids, 4 cats, 1dog, 1 bunny, and... could just spend the entire day following my animals around. we live just north of Central Oregon, in the land time and people forgot.. full of sage brush, hot sun and juniper trees..
