My son went out to check on chickens and saw a white spot on our hen ( which is all black )that has been brooding eggs Saw a white spot and thought what the heck. and realized it was a chick. Says its yellow with orange on its head.

Now the fun starts. If this is her first hatch, watch her reaction for a bit. Sometimes first time Moms get confused and attack their chicks.

Looking forward to those first pics of the new peep. How many eggs is she on?

one more might hatch tomorrow.

then next week we get our other chicks. as far as i know this is her first babies

I forgot about the new chicks coming. Looking forward to her reaction to them. If all goes well she might have a whole brood to raise.

We ended up taking her and babies out of coop. As the other chickens were attacking the babies, but now she is back in coop babies in the brooder.
