I know what your talking about now iv had a few with the bulls eye I got a pic of one tonight in macs dinner bowl.
I’m going to make a small incubator and see how some of the crosses come out, it’s really the black aracuana crosses I want to see and there eggs should be blue/green depending on the cross. I get a really big stage coming I’m going to convert it gives me a lot more space I need to clear it out and move it to my place.Maybe on the white dot on the lower left. It's not really easy to tell if it is or not and almost impossible over the net.
Haha yeah that’s it in the pic I have pleanty of stuff to convert it for the birds hopfully be all done for Friday lol yeah she’s still taking to me had bad morning sickness so I’m getting away with a little more than usual haha she knows it’s getting done but i think she’s conceded the back garden to me so I just get to plod away.Wait a minute, back up. Is that the stage in the pic? Are you turning that into a coop for the birds?
Is your wife still talking to you?![]()
Yeah we found out the other week am buzzing!!Wait! Morning sickness? Are you going to be parents?
Thank you 😊 yeah me too she’s pretty bad with it.Well, congratulations Liam to you and your wife. I hope she stops the morning sickness quickly so she can experience all the changes that will be happening.
Your right it didn’t have a yolk this one, nah it’s not that big of a coin I don’t know what size yours are either to compare them, yeah I showed her she thinks thier cool but doesn’t mind me giving them to Mac.OK, if you really have to do it. This one probably doesn't have a yolk in it. Unless your coins are monster sized.
Did you show it to your wife? She might not let you do anything to it.

I have a couple of pics might give you a better perception of its size. View attachment 46258

I got a silkie to try and hatch some of my eggs a few of the brown eggs have had a clear bullseye she’s sitting on 7 just now, I’ll get a pic next time I’m down.OK, if you really have to do it. This one probably doesn't have a yolk in it. Unless your coins are monster sized.

Yeah she is a cuckoo silkie she’s doing well sitting on her clutch of eggs.Is that a Cuckoo Silkie? I haven't seen one of those in a long time.
Such a tiny egg. Especially if most of those are bantam eggs.
Yeah iv been looking into it, my friend has a clutch that’s 6days from hatching so he came along and helped me today from what we can see she’s sitting on 7 fertile eggs, thier a mix of the hyline and bovan nera hens, both caught bye my lavender pekin bantam. I’m going to use the aracuana roo I have to cross with the black maran and leghorn hens for some colourful eggs.Do you know about candling? You might want to do that with her eggs in a week or so to see if she's actually on fertile eggs.
It’s only the little lavender pekin bantam that’s ready for breeding he’s doing a great job he was jumping on every hen he could on the second day here, the partridge and red Pyle leghorns and the black maran will all start to lay in the next month roughly so I’ll need to keep the little guy away until the black araucana is ready for them.Your boys are getting the job done then. That didn't take long at all.
Next I'll be watching for chick pics.
Yeah that’s for sure lol I’m looking forward to it though.Ha, now you're down to the real chicken raising part. They'll keep you on your toes.
I already have a little girl from a past relationship so got a little practice already.Good practice for when you've got a human peep around and after a while able to get into anything not locked down.
I’m sure he still has around 6 days until they hatch yet.Isn't his due to hatch right about now? Do you know about the whole introduction thing?
How old?
Thanks it’s a traditional Scottish name, she’s a little angle.Lovely name. And she's at that age when she's still adorable.
You probably don't have to worry about your Silkie and her peeps. It's the single you'll be getting from your friend that might struggle finding a spot to fit in.
I’m goi g into it with an open mind it’s all a learning curve for me just now tbf I don’t I will ever stop learning g new things it’s just enjoying the journey it brings that’s the draw for me.Just know they can throw a bomb at you when you least expect it. It's best not to try figure out some chicken behavior. It might drive you up the wall and over the roof.
Haha yeah your right, the black maran has taken a shine to me, she was running and hiding from me a few days ago now she comes to me and eats from my hand and sits on my shoulder lolAnd you will continue to learn new things as long as you have them. Not only because of the individual personalities but because we understand more and more of their needs to keep them healthy and long lived.
Yeah some of the others will come and sit next to me and on my lap sometimes but it was awesome when she done that, does that mean she’s comfortable and settling in well? I just want them all to be as happy as possible.OK, that's fun to see. Rarely do you see a full grown hen do something like that. Laps, yes. Shoulder? Very unusual.
She's going to become your favorite for sure now.
She’s a black copper maran, she’s due to start laying in the next couple of weeks I always take time to make sure I’m with them at least 4/5 times a day,Much has to do with the breed. Some breeds would never be caught doing what she did. Others really like their humans and will spend time with them.
She trusts you. The rest that come to visit are doing it for the treats but even treats wouldn't have them coming to you if they didn't trust you.
