Nice chart, NM. Just goes to show that a lot of ingredients are needed to supply minimum daily requirements .
Matt, it would be easier to purchase layer feed and check the freshness. Then add things to their diet that you want to improve the feed with.
Hen minimum daily requirements for protein to lay is 16%. Which is fine, but if they eat anything aside from layer feed, their diet is not 16% anymore. So I personally use 18% feed to cover the extras and still be at least 16%.
If you make your own, please come back and share your experience about how you got all those ingredients.
I can change the proteins at any time with slight adjustments of the grains.
I don't feed a lot of treats.I do make a chicky cornbread on occasion , but the protein level has been upped . http://www.chickenforum.com/f17/chicky-cornbread-9455/
The peas were grown by myself.
