T minus 4 hours till the checkin line forms. Today most the meaties get to go to Camp Kenmore! I normally skin my birds, but this time, I am gonna try and pluck a few with the plucker that is a drill attachment. I will let ya know how it goes!

We did 20 today, I was "supposed" to have a workshop and teach how to process, however, only 1 person was able to make it, but she brought her son as well. Since we had so many to do, and only a few people to do it, we decided to save time, and skin them all. These were all Cornish cross from Ideal. I was disappointed in their size though, at 9 weeks, they were still a bit thin, compared to my spring ones. I think it had to do with so many at once, the heat, and that these actually got out and did a lot of free ranging. I also have 4 red broilers, they are slower growing and are still out there. In addition, I have 5 more 3 week old Cornish cross, and so far, they are growing much more like my spring batch.
