We have three outdoor cats, always been outdoors. We used to live in the city but moved to the country, ever since moving one cat will disappear for about a week. Then it comes back and the next one leaves. It's gone about a week and then the next one leaves. It might be mere coincidence however they seem to leave in order, always for a week. It's quite bizarre. They get fed plenty, so it's not hunting for the need for food, why are they leaving esp for so long? Maybe looking for the previous home? We live about 15 miles from our previous home.

If I had to guess, there is likely another player you are not aware of. Maybe another person, maybe another animal. You only have part of the story. Look for the rest.

It could be looking for home, but I think they may do that together. However, they may be having an affair, separately with a local male friend. I have a fixed female yet she still meets up with her good friend "Big Tom" quite often!!
