How do you make you hens go broody so they will sit on the eggs. I would like any information that anyone has.

Let nature do it on its own. And like the pervious poster mentioned, not all breeds go broody. What kinds do you have ?

Generally, the hatchery type birds have been bred away from broodiness. They focus on constant layers and cull broody birds. I don't know of any way to force it but leaving eggs sit is a start. If someone breaks them you may have other problems though.

I think I will try to put some fake eggs in there to see if I can get them to set. And if they start to set I pull the fake eggs out and put real ones.
