Hi we have 3 baby mallard that are 5 weeks old. I gave them a bath last night and when they were wet all three had blue wing tips. 2 had much more /longer blue tips. Are they all male?

My baby mallard also has blue wing tips and a hint of green on its head. I am guessing it is a male but I could be wrong. I, too, would like the know this.

You wont be able to tell until around 4 months old. ALL malards will have female coloring until the their first molt when the true adult feathers come in. You may be able to voice sex them before their adult plumage comes in. Females "quack" while drakes do a raspy bark kinda call.
