    Yes, it seems that way with so many birds. I think it's an ancient instinctual phenomenon with snakes and eggs.

    Agree. I got to see if before I ever had chicks. Neighbors bought themselves some day old chicks, a bird flew over and every one in a single movement melted down into the grass. It was fascinating to see.

    I wonder what Baby will do if it's out and about with either of you and a bird flies over.

    Baby THINKS Baby is a raptor and rules the roost, so we have to watch out for him/her! It is so funny to watch Baby try to chase chickens four times it's size and then they stop and say Nope!

    And that's why we crazy bird people enjoy the feathered ones so much. People who don't get it really miss out.
