I have a 7 years old Silver Laced Wyandotte that hasn't laid an egg in 1 1/2 years. All of a sudden she is laying again. How common is this?

Not common that I know of, but perhaps this Spring with the increased length of day etc., she was triggered to start laying again. Perhaps some others will weigh in.

My SS Hamburg laid after taking a year off. She didn't lay for long but it was surprise when she did it. Oh, she was right in that age range too. Maybe a little older.
