My peafowl have done so well in the poultry yard that, if the weather holds, I'm going to let them free range under supervision tomorrow. I had thought that once they were in a bigger area they would not let me get close, but that has proved untrue.
Yeah, they do that, meet behind my back. I always raise my Peafowl to be hand tame and able to be hand fed treats. It makes them easier to catch them if you need to. The same with the Turkeys. You don't have to worry about catching them if they are trying to perch on your head for some grubbies. Selling or re-homing adult Peafowl though, that is a kettle of fish and requires a lot of groundwork.
I just realized there is a tiny head peeking around the waterer.
