Showgirls

Rating:

  • Showgirls resulted from crossing the naked neck to the silkie and for several generations the offspring are crossed back to silkies. They should look and act just like silkies except for the bald neck. They come in the varieties bowtied, non bowtied ( clean neck), bearded, and non bearded. Pros - Gentle Silkie Nature
Cons - Special care for the neck for dry skin or extreme temps

Showgirls are an accepted variety in the Silkie breed in the white bearded. No other variety are accepted for show as of 2014 but many are working on the acceptance of other colors. All show girls being shown MUST have the bowtie. They are fun birds and have the usual lovable traits of the silkie.
Correction: This picture is of one of my birds not of ShamrockSilkies I don't know why it attatched their name to my pic.
