    We have Jacob sheep and a few icelandic sheep ... The first picture is of a Jacob and the second one of my icelandic ...

    If I can get another 3-5 acres off my neighbor, I'll be adding sheep to our mix. I have a line on a local Finnsheep breeder.

    Hope you have a vet nearby that will work with small ruminants. Spring can be crazy with all those lambs. Fun too though. Baby season!

    That is one of the great things about Jacobs ... very few problems while birthing.

    And no local vets for any critter other than dog or cats. The vet we use for the horses is about an hour away.

    Another easy birthed is Tunis, I have never had any kind of birthing problem with them. They're a beautiful red and have a big personality!
