    Hi All,
I have a pair of geese, Tuffy and Lucy. Both were ordered as american buffs, but they aren't quite.

Tuffy is an TUFTED american buff. Lucy is a brecon buff.

A conversation with some of my friends about the fatal gene in crested ducks got me to thinking.

I really want a bunch of little goslings running around. Does the fact that Tuffy is a tufted increase the chance of early egg death due to the tufted gene in one parent?

As you can probably tell my knowledge of genetics is next to none. I just want happy, healthy geese; purebred or not means nothing to me.
