I have two Wyandottes at a friends house and Bellina, the gold and bigger one is pecking the silver hens head, any suggestions? They seem to get along fine and hang out together. I noticed her head today, not bad, but you can see marks. Do I put anything on it or leave it alone?

Maybe she needs one of those knitted hats I've seen? lol

Does she have adequate space? If not she's pecking the other just because she's bored or cramped.

Yes, they free range in her huge back yard and share a shed at night. It's like the gold one is the boss.

You can put a bit of pine tar (Stockholm Tar) on her head. They don't like the sticky goo so they won't peck.

Its made from pine pitch. Found it on Amazon and at my Tractor Supply Store. Its used for horse hooves too.
