two next door neighbors raising two buff Orpingtons, and one Silver laced Wyondotte together. The coop and yard is in the front yard. Lot's of people stop and admire the birds. DCP_6943.jpg

Be glad the town allows that. Where I use to live a neighbor had chickens in their backyard behind a privacy fence and the city made them get rid of the chickens because of neighborhood complaints.

The only city ordinance about chickens applies to all livestock; not allowed to tresspass on others property. In Arcata we have lots of rules about dogs.

Their Property.... They should be allowed to put the chickens And / Or Coop wherever they wish.
I do NOT let my neighbors "dictate" to me about HOW I use my property....as long as my use is confined to MY property.
