The goslings are 3 wks old today. They've already gone through a whole 50 lb bag of Flock Raiser and at least 30 lbs of greens.I call them my "Starvin' Marvins".When I leave and come home, they are standing and facing the door and greet me when I come in.I planned on taking them out for the day but it got cool again. I'm starting to see feather growth.

The goslings,at 3.5 wks old,are now bigger than the chickens.Dale told me he would divorce me if I got more animals(technically,I had what I have now except for the geese when we met LOL).Well,I caught him looking at the goslings and smiling. He ain't fooling me.He also gives them fresh water before he leaves for work and told me about a kiddie pool with steps and a slide he wants to buy for them.He ignores the chicks when I have them.I got their pen together and they got to go out for the first time. They took right to it eating grass and getting their heads wet in the pool, but the water was too cold to put them in.This weekend we put up their house and out they go,a sad but very happy time. Here's a pic of them outside.

I love those poofs, and they sure grow quick don't they? I had a pool like that with steps. It's fun watching them. I really should have held on to the pair of Sebastapols I had. They got along with the chickens. But hubby wanted the babies. But we have none now and all of them live at a permanent refuge now with a big man made pond. Good for them.

The goslings are so much more work but they are so fun and cute. They tasted my shorts this morning and I got one out to run around and she didn't poop at all(a small miracle!!!).She explored the living and dining rooms and took a nap by the front door.I can hold them now without getting pooped on most of the time.I'm starting to be able to tell them apart and I think I have 2 male Romans,3 females and 2 male Americans and 3 females.I hope I'm right because I'm naming them according to my "educated guess".They won't know the difference anyway...
