- Silver spangled hamburg
I have one pullet of this breed and noticed all of her tail feathers laid over to one side instead of standing upright as normal. She is in an enclosure with other pullets and some mature hens, is it
Does anyone know anything about hamburgs. I think they are really cool and i may get a few.

Silver Spangled Hamburgs are surprisingly hardy for a small to medium size large fowl. They are striking in appearance with handsome rose comb, white feathers with contrasting black spots, long flowing tail feathers in the males and perky, upright wedge shaped tails in the hens. They are consistent layers.
However, these are VERY independent chickens who flock together well but will forage widely. They love to fly and will roost as high as they possibly can. They tolerate confinement but much prefer roaming. They are reliable about returning at night, but should be owned by experienced poultry keepers. Not recommended as a chicken for first timers.
